Skipping sleep may weaken your Heart's workout response
NCT ID NCT06679543
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at how getting too little sleep changes the way your heart pumps blood during exercise. Researchers will ask 30 healthy young adults to cycle after a normal night's sleep and again after a night where they wake up early. They want to see if a drop in blood volume explains the lower heart output and blood pressure seen after sleep loss, and whether men and women respond differently.
