Scientists probe why depression makes mornings so hard

NCT ID NCT06732284

Summary

This study aims to understand how morning grogginess (sleep inertia) affects people with depression. Researchers will compare attention and alertness tests in three groups: depressed people with morning grogginess, depressed people without it, and healthy controls. The study uses sleep monitoring and reaction time tests to measure how quickly people become fully alert after waking up.
