Can poor sleep worsen your gum health? new study investigates
NCT ID NCT07421960
Summary
This study aims to understand if there is a link between how well you sleep and the severity of gum disease (periodontitis). Researchers will examine 48 participants, checking their gum health, having them fill out sleep and fatigue questionnaires, and testing their saliva for certain inflammation markers. The goal is to see if poorer sleep quality is associated with worse gum disease, which could help doctors take a more complete view of a patient's health.
