First seen Jan 02, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study looks at whether helping children aged 6-12 who are above a healthy weight and sleep 9 hours or less each night can improve their body weight and learning by extending their sleep by about 45 minutes. Over 3 months, one group will go to bed earlier while the other continues their usual routine. Researchers will measure changes in body mass index (BMI) and memory skills to see if more sleep makes a difference.
