Can extra sleep be medicine for a failing heart?
NCT ID NCT06567925
Summary
This small pilot study tested whether coaching people with a specific type of heart failure to sleep longer could improve their daily life and physical ability. Ten adults with stable heart failure and poor sleep habits tried a two-week program to gradually extend their sleep time and learn better sleep habits. Researchers measured if the plan was practical to follow and if it led to better sleep quality and less daytime tiredness.
