First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This small pilot study tested whether gradually extending sleep time, combined with good sleep habits, is possible and can improve quality of life in people with a type of heart failure called HFpEF. Ten adults with heart failure who slept less than 7 hours a night and had poor sleep efficiency took part. They used a wearable device and sleep diary to track their sleep. The goal was to see if this approach is feasible and might reduce inflammation and improve daily function.
