NCT ID NCT07053865
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looked at whether people with severe gum disease (stage III or IV periodontitis) grind their teeth more intensely or longer during sleep compared to those with healthy gums. Researchers used a muscle sensor on the jaw to measure grinding activity in 40 adults aged 28-50. The goal was to better understand any connection between these two conditions.
