Sleep treatment breakthrough may stop Alzheimer's before it starts
NCT ID NCT05988385
Summary
This study investigates whether effectively treating obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in older adults can prevent memory decline and reduce early signs of Alzheimer's disease. Researchers will enroll 200 cognitively healthy adults aged 55-85 with moderate to severe OSA. Participants will either receive immediate OSA treatment or be placed on a waitlist, then followed for two years to see if treatment improves memory and brain health markers.
