Does sleepiness predict who benefits from sleep apnea treatment?
NCT ID NCT07497412
Summary
This study looks back at data from 10,000 people with obstructive sleep apnea to see if a common treatment (CPAP therapy) lowers blood pressure differently depending on whether the patient feels very sleepy during the day. Researchers want to know if sleepy patients get a bigger heart health benefit from treatment than those who aren't sleepy, which could help doctors decide who needs treatment most.
