Daytime exercises could replace sleep apnea machines
NCT ID NCT04608552
Summary
This study tested whether daytime mouth and throat exercises could help control mild-to-moderate sleep apnea. Researchers compared real exercises to fake exercises in 209 veterans to see if they improved breathing during sleep, daytime function, and sleepiness. The goal was to find an alternative to nightly breathing machines that many people find hard to use consistently.
