Researchers dig into data to predict which kids face risks after common sleep surgery

NCT ID NCT07305168

Summary

This study looks back at medical records to understand how often children have breathing problems after tonsil surgery for sleep apnea. Researchers are combining data from two hospitals on 200 children to see if certain conditions, like obesity or Down syndrome, make these complications more likely. The goal is to find patterns that could help doctors better plan care and monitor high-risk patients after surgery.
