Statins tested to fight hidden inflammation in sleep apnea
NCT ID NCT05289063
First seen Feb 21, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looks at whether taking atorvastatin (a statin) for 4 weeks can reduce blood vessel inflammation in adults with obstructive sleep apnea who are already using CPAP therapy. Researchers will measure specific markers of inflammation and blood clotting. The goal is to understand how sleep apnea affects blood vessels, not to cure the condition.
