Could a simple Pre-Surgery checklist prevent breathing problems after dental work?
NCT ID NCT06430957
Summary
This study aims to see if screening adult patients for sleep apnea risk before they have dental procedures under general anesthesia can help predict who might have breathing problems after surgery. Researchers will use two standard checklists to assess risk in 240 patients and then see if those identified as high-risk actually experience more complications or take longer to recover. The goal is to improve patient safety by better identifying who needs extra care before and after surgery.
