First seen Jun 09, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tested a new approach for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) by placing small electrodes near nerves and muscles in the throat to see if stimulation could improve airflow during sleep. 35 adults with moderate to severe OSA took part. The goal was to see if the technique is feasible and safe, and to measure any immediate breathing improvements.
