NCT ID NCT01196845

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study aimed to see if using a CPAP machine (a device that helps breathing during sleep) reduces inflammation in fat tissue for people with sleep apnea, both obese and non-obese. Researchers planned to compare CPAP treatment to a placebo in 40 men. The study was stopped early, so results are limited.
