First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This study tests three different drugs—sivopixant, acetazolamide, and SASS-001—to see if they can reduce the number of breathing pauses (apneas) in adults with sleep apnea that involves a central (brain-related) component. About 60 participants with certain heart conditions will receive one of the drugs or a placebo. The main goal is to measure changes in breathing pauses during sleep after treatment.
