Can better sleep machine use protect native Elders' minds from dementia?
NCT ID NCT06227572
Summary
This study is testing a culturally tailored support program to help Native American elders aged 50+ use their sleep apnea machines more consistently. Researchers want to see if better machine use can improve thinking skills and potentially lower the risk of Alzheimer's disease. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either standard care or standard care plus the new support program, which includes motivational interviews and text message reminders.
