Blood test could reveal sleep apnea secrets

NCT ID NCT04572269

Summary

This study aimed to find chemical markers in blood that could help diagnose obstructive sleep apnea and track how treatment affects the body. Researchers followed 388 adults with sleep apnea for six months while they used breathing machines. They collected blood samples and tracked treatment use to see if blood chemistry changes could serve as objective measures of sleep apnea and treatment effectiveness.
