Double the cuddles: study tests if both Parents' skin contact helps C-Section babies

NCT ID NCT07410754

Summary

This study aims to see if having both parents provide skin-to-skin contact after a cesarean birth helps babies breastfeed better and helps parents bond with their newborn. It will compare 60 families where the father holds the baby skin-to-skin first, followed by the mother, against families receiving standard hospital care. Researchers will measure breastfeeding success and how connected parents feel to their baby in the first month.
