Can a simple touch calm nerves before surgery?
NCT ID NCT07070986
Summary
This study is testing whether a gentle skin stimulation technique can help reduce anxiety in patients scheduled for heart surgery. Researchers will compare the real technique to a sham (fake) treatment to see if it changes the body's stress response and lowers anxiety levels. The goal is to find a non-drug method to help patients feel calmer before their operation.
