New drug cocktail targets Hard-to-Treat lung cancer with liver metastases
NCT ID NCT07545213
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This phase 2 trial tests whether combining SKB264 (a chemotherapy) with anlotinib (a targeted therapy) can shrink tumors and control disease in people with advanced non-small cell lung cancer that has spread to the liver and stopped responding to standard EGFR-targeted drugs. About 27 participants will receive both drugs in cycles, with frequent clinic visits. The study compares results to historical data to see if the combination works better.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
SKB264 (a chemotherapy drug) and anlotinib (a targeted therapy drug)
What this could lead to
If it works, this combination could offer a new treatment option for people with advanced lung cancer that has spread to the liver and no longer responds to standard targeted therapy.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-phase trial with only 27 participants and no control group. The combination may cause significant side effects, and results may not apply to all patients.
