First seen Nov 03, 2025 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study looked at whether getting up and moving more often during the day can help older women age better. Over 400 overweight women aged 55+ who sat a lot were asked to interrupt their sitting time. Researchers measured changes in blood sugar control and physical function after 3 months to see if these simple breaks make a difference.
