Could a Blood-Derived gel replace bone grafts in dental implant surgery?

NCT ID NCT07348094

First seen Jan 20, 2026 · Last updated Jun 04, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tests whether a material made from a patient's own blood (Alb-PRF) can help grow new bone after a sinus lift as well as traditional bone graft does. About 45 adults needing dental implants in the upper jaw will be randomly assigned to receive either Alb-PRF or bone graft during the procedure. The goal is to see if the natural option provides similar implant stability and bone height, potentially avoiding the need for donor or synthetic bone material.
