One-Shot radiation: faster breast cancer treatment tested

NCT ID NCT02482376

Summary

This study is testing a new, faster way to give radiation to women with early-stage breast cancer. Instead of multiple weeks of treatment, it gives one strong dose of radiation before surgery. The main goal is to see if this single dose leads to good cosmetic results while still effectively treating the cancer. Researchers are also studying how the tumor responds to this single dose.
