Milk thistle extract may shield brain cells in Parkinson's patients

Summary

This study tests whether silymarin, a natural antioxidant found in milk thistle, can protect brain cells and help manage symptoms in people with Parkinson's disease. Fifty adults aged 45 to 65 who are already on standard Parkinson's medication will take silymarin alongside their usual treatment. Researchers will measure changes in disease severity using a standard rating scale.
