Milk thistle extract tested as potential brain shield for Parkinson's patients
NCT ID NCT07001150
Summary
This study is testing whether silymarin, a natural antioxidant found in milk thistle, can protect brain cells and help manage symptoms in people with Parkinson's disease. It will involve 50 participants aged 45-65 who are already on standard Parkinson's medication. Researchers will measure changes in Parkinson's symptoms and disease progression to see if adding silymarin provides any benefit.
