Summary

This study is testing a new stapler (Signia™ circular stapler) used during surgery to reconnect the colon or rectum after removing a diseased part. The main goal is to see how often leaks happen at the connection site, which is a serious complication. About 137 adults having planned left-sided colon or rectal surgery will take part. The study is currently recruiting.
