First seen Apr 01, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tested a six-week sleep program in 200 older adults (ages 60-85) with insomnia to see if it improves thinking, memory, and attention. A small group also had brain scans to check if better sleep slows the buildup of a protein linked to Alzheimer's. The goal was to learn if treating insomnia can protect brain health.
