First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tested whether the incremental shuttle walk test (a walking test that gets faster over time) is a reliable and accurate way to measure exercise capacity in people with type 2 diabetes. 120 adults with diabetes completed the test twice, one week apart, along with a standard 6-minute walk test. The goal was to see if the shuttle walk test gives consistent results and reflects true fitness levels.
