New pain relief method tested for shoulder surgery patients

NCT ID NCT07280195

Summary

This study compares two approaches to manage pain after shoulder replacement surgery. Researchers want to see if a single-dose topical medication applied during surgery works as well as a continuous nerve-block catheter that delivers pain medication for days after surgery. The study will measure how much opioid pain medication patients need after their procedure and track their pain levels and satisfaction.
