First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Jun 03, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study compares two types of nerve blocks to manage pain after arthroscopic shoulder surgery. The goal is to find which block provides better pain relief while reducing the risk of temporary diaphragm paralysis, a common side effect. Thirty adults having shoulder surgery will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two blocks, and their pain levels and diaphragm function will be measured.
