Double nerve block could slash shoulder surgery pain

NCT ID NCT06042608

Summary

This study tested whether adding a second nerve block to the standard pain control method could better manage pain after shoulder replacement surgery. Researchers enrolled 12 adults having shoulder replacement to compare the two approaches. They measured how long patients stayed in recovery, how much opioid pain medication was needed, and patients' pain scores.
