First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study compares a newer surgical method for total shoulder replacement that spares the rotator cuff to the traditional approach. About 108 adults with shoulder arthritis will be randomly assigned to one of the two techniques. Researchers will track shoulder function, strength, and patient-reported outcomes for at least two years after surgery to see which approach leads to better results.
