First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study compares two common surgeries for people who repeatedly dislocate their shoulder. One surgery repairs torn ligaments and adds a tendon transfer; the other moves a piece of bone to deepen the socket. The goal is to see which approach better prevents future dislocations and improves shoulder function over two years. The study includes 86 adults aged 18-50 with mild bone loss.
