Shoulder surgery breathing risk examined in new study
NCT ID NCT07640464
First seen Jun 13, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026
Summary
This study observed 61 adults having shoulder surgery to see how a specific type of nerve block affects the diaphragm, the main muscle for breathing. Researchers used ultrasound to measure diaphragm movement before and after the block. The goal was to understand if this combined block could provide good pain relief while reducing the risk of breathing problems.
