New breathing method may speed recovery after heart bypass
NCT ID NCT06814951
First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a gentle breathing method called thoraco-abdominal rebalance (TAR) in 26 adults who recently had heart bypass surgery. The goal is to see if TAR improves diaphragm movement and reduces breathing discomfort compared to standard physical therapy. Participants will receive one session of either TAR or usual care, and their breathing, heart rate, and oxygen levels will be measured before and after.
