First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study looked at whether two simple devices—a ShotBlocker (a flat plastic tool) and a vibration pen—can reduce pain in healthy babies during routine vaccinations. 96 infants aged 2-6 months were randomly assigned to use one of the devices or standard care. Pain was measured before, during, and after the shot using a standard infant pain scale.
