Fewer radiation sessions may better control resistant brain tumors

NCT ID NCT07167134

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tests whether a shorter course of focused radiation (3 sessions over 5 days vs. 3 sessions over 15 days) can better control brain metastases from cancers like melanoma, kidney, or colon cancer. About 264 adults with 1 to 5 untreated brain tumors will be randomly assigned to one of the two schedules. The main goal is to see if the shorter schedule improves tumor control at 6 months, while reducing treatment burden.
