Radiation revolution: 5 days instead of 3 weeks for sarcoma patients?

NCT ID NCT07071727

Summary

This study compares two shorter radiation schedules before surgery for soft tissue sarcoma. Patients will receive either 14 treatments over 3 weeks or just 5 treatments over 1 week before their operation. Researchers want to see if the much shorter 5-treatment approach works as well at controlling the cancer while causing similar side effects, particularly wound healing problems after surgery.
