Faster radiation course tested for prostate cancer recurrence
NCT ID NCT03570827
Summary
This study tested a shorter, more intense form of radiation therapy for men whose prostate cancer had a high risk of returning after surgery. The goal was to see if this faster treatment schedule worked as well as standard, longer radiation at keeping the cancer from coming back, while possibly causing fewer side effects. The study also looked at how the treatment affected patients' quality of life and sexual function.
