5-Day radiation challenge: can it match 6 weeks of treatment?

NCT ID NCT04386993

Summary

This study tested a much shorter, 5-day course of radiation therapy for women with certain types of advanced uterine cancer who had already had a hysterectomy. Researchers wanted to see if this shorter treatment could control the cancer as well as the traditional 5-6 week course, while causing fewer serious side effects. They enrolled 25 patients to measure side effects, quality of life, and whether the cancer came back.
