Five days of radiation could replace weeks of treatment for breast cancer
NCT ID NCT03643861
Summary
This study is testing a much shorter radiation schedule for women with early-stage breast cancer. After a lumpectomy, participants receive just 5 concentrated radiation treatments instead of the standard longer course. The main goal is to see if this shorter approach is safe and works as well to control the cancer while being more convenient.
