Brain tumor breakthrough? shorter, sharper radiation aims to extend lives
NCT ID NCT07338539
Summary
This study is for people with a very aggressive type of brain cancer (glioblastoma) who are not well enough for surgery and have a poor outlook. It is testing if a shorter, more intense course of radiation, guided by a special PET scan to target the tumor precisely, can help patients live longer than the current standard 3-week treatment. About 108 patients will be randomly assigned to receive either the standard treatment or the new, shorter approach.
