Cutting radiation time in half: new study tests 5-Day treatment for breast cancer
NCT ID NCT06961955
Summary
This study is testing whether a shorter 5-day radiation schedule works as well as the standard 9-day schedule for early-stage breast cancer. Researchers want to see if patients report similar satisfaction with their breast appearance and experience similar side effects. The trial will enroll 144 women who have had lumpectomy surgery and are at higher risk of cancer returning.
