Shockwave therapy could ease stubborn neck pain

Summary

This pilot study tests whether focused shockwave therapy can reduce pain and improve function in people with chronic neck and shoulder muscle pain. Sixty adults will be randomly assigned to receive either three weekly shockwave sessions or a home exercise program. Researchers will measure pain, disability, and muscle changes using ultrasound.
