First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding shockwave therapy to standard care can reduce pain and swelling in women with lipedema, a condition that causes fat buildup in the legs. Fifty women will be split into two groups: one gets standard treatment alone, the other gets standard treatment plus shockwave therapy. Researchers will measure changes in leg size, pain, and quality of life over 8 weeks.
