First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study tests whether applying shockwaves to the leg wound after heart bypass surgery can reduce healing problems like infections. About 120 adults having bypass with vein grafts will be randomly assigned to get either real shockwave treatment or a sham (fake) procedure. The goal is to see if this simple addition can improve recovery and lower complications.
