First seen Apr 14, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tested if applying shock wave therapy to the feet could improve balance and walking in people with multiple sclerosis (MS). Fifty-four adults with MS received the treatment three times a week for six weeks. Researchers measured foot sensation, joint position sense, and walking patterns. The goal was to see if this non-invasive therapy could help with common MS symptoms like poor balance and unsteady gait.
