First seen Feb 20, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looks at how the drug sildenafil is processed in the bodies of full-term newborns who have suffered brain injury from lack of oxygen at birth. All babies will receive standard cooling therapy. The goal is to find the right dose for a future larger trial that will test if adding sildenafil to cooling can prevent brain damage. 24 babies will take part.
