First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tests a new ultrasound technique called shear wave elastography to help doctors quickly tell whether a patient has acute or chronic kidney disease in the emergency room. Researchers will enroll 800 adults who need a kidney ultrasound. The goal is to see if this painless, no-contrast method can give faster and clearer answers than current tests.
